Plot
Twelve years before the events at the focus of the series, the nine-tailed demon
fox attacked Konohagakure. Powerful enough to raise tsunamis and flatten mountains
with a swish of one of its tails, it raised chaos and slaughtered many people,
until the leader of the Leaf Village – the Fourth Hokage – sacrificed his own
life to seal the demon inside his newborn son, Naruto Uzumaki. The Fourth
Hokage, who was celebrated as a hero for sealing the demon fox away, wanted
Naruto to be respected in a similar light by being the containment vessel for
the demon fox.
The main story follows Naruto and his friends' personal growth and development as
ninja, and emphasizes their interactions with each other and the influence of their
backgrounds on their personalities. Naruto finds two friends and comrades in
Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno, two fellow young ninja who are assigned with
him to form a three-person team under an experienced sensei named Kakashi
Hatake. Naruto also confides in other characters that he meets throughout the
series as well. They learn new abilities, get to know each other and other
villagers better, and experience a coming-of-age journey as Naruto dreams of
becoming the Hokage of the Leaf Village.

Hero
Naruto Uzumaki born in Konohagakure, a ninja village hidden in the leaves, Naruto Uzumaki was destined for greatness. When born, a powerful nine-tailed demon fox attacked his village. With a wave of its tail, the demon fox could raise tsunamis and shatter mountains. In a valiant attempt to save the village from destruction, the Fourth Hokage and leader of the Hidden Leaf Village sealed the demon fox within Naruto's newborn body. This was his final act, for the battle with the fox cost him his life.
Despite the Fourth Hokage's dying wish that Naruto be viewed as a hero for serving as the container for the demon the adult villagers of Konoha harbored a fierce hatred for him, with many believing that Naruto and the demon were one and the same. Cast aside as an inhuman monster, Naruto was outcast and ostracised by the villagers for reasons he could not understand. The children his age could only ever follow their parents' example; and they too came to harbour a fierce hatred for Naruto.
Vowing to become Hokage one day and using his will to never give in, Naruto saves the village from invading forces and earns his acceptance. Eventually, Naruto learns to harness the power of the Demon Fox sealed inside him to perform acts of strength far beyond what any other human is capable of.

The manga "Dragon Ball"
Dragon Ball is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Akira Toriyama. It was originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1984 to 1995, with the 519 individual chapters published into 42 tankoubon volumes by
Shueisha. Dragon Ball was initially inspired by the classical Chinese novel Journey to the West. Along his journey, Goku makes several friends and battles a wide variety of villains, many of whom also seek the Dragon Balls.
The 42 tankoubon have been adapted into two anime series produced by Toei Animation: Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, which together were broadcast in Japan from 1986 to 1996. Additionally, Toei has developed eighteen animated feature films and three television specials, as well as an anime sequel titled Dragon Ball GT, which takes place after the events of the manga. From 2009 to 2011, Toei broadcast a revised, faster-paced version of Dragon Ball Z under the title Dragon Ball Kai, in which most of the original version's footage not featured in the manga was removed.

These two famous basketball comics from a Weekly Shonen Jump are conpared.
Slam Dunk
- Slam Dunk is a sports-themed manga series written and illustrated by Takehiko Inoue about a basketball team from Shouhoku High school. It was serialized in Shueishas Weekly Shonen Jump in Japan from 1990 to 1996 and was also been adapted into an anime series by Toei animation which had been broadcast worldwide, enjoying much popularity particularly in Japan, several other Asian countries and Europe. As of 2012, Slam Dunk has sold nearly 119 million copies in Japan alone, making it one of the best-selling manga series. Inoue later used basketball as a central theme in two subsequent manga titles:Buzzer Bitter and Real. In 2010, Inoue received special commendations from the Japan basketball Assosiation for helping popularize basketball in Japan.
Plot
Hanamichi Sakuragi is a delinquent outcast and leader of a gang. Sakuragi, being very unpopular with girls, has been rejected by them 50 times. In his first year at Shohoku High School, he finds out that Haruko Akagi is the girl of his dreams, and is happy when she is not scared of him like all the other girls he has asked out.
Haruko Akagi, who recognizes Sakuragi's athleticism, introduces him to the Shohoku basketball team. Sakuragi was reluctant to join the team at first because he had no previous background in any sports and thought that basketball was a game for losers (also because the 50th girl rejected him for a basketball player). Sakuragi, despite his immaturity and hot temper, proves to be a natural athlete with potential and joins the team in order to impress Haruko and prove that he is worthy of her. Later on, Sakuragi realizes that his love for the sport equals that of his crush on Haruko. Kaede Rukawa — Sakuragi's bitter rival (both on the basketball court and love, even when Rukawa doesn't acknowledge Haruko's crush on him), the star rookie and a "girl magnet" - joins the team at the same time. Hisashi Mitsui, an ex-junior high school MVP, and Ryota Miyagi, a short but fast player, both also rejoin the team and together these four struggle to complete team captain Takenori Akagi's dream of making Shohoku the national champion. Together, these misfits gain publicity and the once little known Shohoku basketball team becomes an all-star contender in Japan.

Production
Inoue became inspired to make Slam Dunk as he liked basketball since his high school years. After Inoue started Slam Dunk, he became surprised while receiving letters from readers that they started playing the sport due to the manga. His editor even told him "basketball was a taboo in this world." Due to these letters, Inoue decided he wanted to draw better basketball games in the series. With the series, Inoue wanted to demonstrate the feelings from an athlete such as their thoughts when they win, lose or improve at their sport. When he started making bakabondo, he noted that when he was doing Slam Dunk he had a simpler perspective on life as he focused more in victories and success.
With the series, Inoue wants the readers to feel achievements as well as love for the sport. Thinking that his success as a manga artist being largely due to basketball, Inoue organized a Slam Dunk Scholarship for Japanese students as he wanted to give back to the sport by increasing its popularity in Japan. However, when asked about the response from readers to basketball, Inoue commented that although Slam Dunk is technically a basketball manga, its story could have been done with other sports such as soccer. He also added that the artwork for the manga was very typical and mangalike in comparison to his newer works such as Real. His experiences with basketball also influenced the story from Slam Dunk: as a youth Inoue started playing basketball to be popular with the girls, but later became interested with the sport in and of itself. This was mirrored in the character of Hanamichi Sakuragi, who starts playing basketball to be popular with the girl he likes, to later become truly fond of the game

He is the leader of the feared "Sakuragi's Gang", which consists of his four friends Mito, Noma, Ohkusu and Takamiya. After being rejected 50 times by girls, Sakuragi meets and falls in love withHaruko Akagi, a basketballl fangirl. This and Haruko's encouragement led him to join the Shohoku basketball team. However, as a complete beginner, he was not able to keep up with the rest of the team at first despite his height, athleticism, stamina, speed and leaping ability. He regards himself as a genius though, with self-confidence that borders on arrogance. Sakuragi's most recognizable trait is his red hair, though he shaves his head as reparation for an error that led to a loss in the Interhigh Tournament against Kainan.
- At first, Sakuragi was known for his poor basketball skills as a beginner and in his first official matches, fouled out every game. However, his basketball skills advanced throughout the series. First he developed his basic skills, such as dribbling and layups. Then, trained by Akagi, he became a formidable rebounder, with his rebounding becoming his claim to fame throughout the latter half of the series. His jump shooting was then developed by Coach Anzai, who had him make 20,000 shots in a week. However, he also injured his back during the match against Sannoh when saving the ball from going off the court, and underwent rehabilitation after Shohoku's subsequent loss to Aiwa Academy. While considered by most to be an amateur's instinctual tactic, the tactic itself, coupled with Sakuragi's formidable athleticism actually goes well with his somewhat unorthodox playing style. This allows Sakuragi to be in the right place at the right time to intercept more experienced players.
Kuroko's Basketball
Kuroko's Basketball, known as Kuroko no Basuke in Japan, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tadatoshi Fujimaki. It began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jmp in December 2008. Kuroko no Basuke tells the story of a high school basketball team trying to make it to the national tournament. An anime adaptation by Productio I.G. began airing on April 7, 2012, and it ended on September 22, 2012. The second season of the anime aired on October 6, 2013.
Plot
The basketball team of Teiko Middle School rose to distinction by demolishing all competition. The regulars of the team became known as the "Generation of Miracles". After graduating from middle school, these five stars went to different high schools with top basketball teams. However, a fact few know is that there was another player in the "Generation of Miracles": a phantom sixth man. This mysterious player is now a freshman at Seirin High, a new school with a powerful, if little-known, team. Now, Kuroko Tetsuya, the sixth member of the "Generation of Miracles", and Kagami Taiga, a naturally talented player who spent most of middle school in the US, are aiming to bring Seirin to the top of Japan, taking on Kuroko's former teammates one by one.
- Plotagonist:Kuroko Tetsuya
- He is the sixth man and the "phantom" member of the "Generation of Miracles. Kuroko is Seirin's secret weapon. Although he was an essential member of his middle school basketball team, unlike his former teammates, Kuroko is unknown. This is largely because he is so small, frail, and easy to miss. Kuroko possesses the skill of misdirection which allows him to steal the ball and shift the trajectories of passes to suit his team without being noticed by the opponents. His near-invisibility makes him highly susceptible to on-court injuries however, and is not effective indefinitely. If he is left in play too long, opponents grow used to his misdirection tactics; as such, he must be placed on the bench at varying points in any match to prevent this. During the second season of the anime series and the eleventh volume of the manga, he developed a new technique, called the "Vanishing Drive". As the name states, he makes a drives towards an opponent player and seemingly vanishes in front of their eyes, appearing again behind them. This technique combined with his misdirection makes him a powerful player.Kuroko considers himself a "Shadow", whose goal is to help his "Light" achieve greatness. He also has a tendency to speak and act completely deadpan, and a running gag involves his teammates, thinking they are alone, talking to hemselves only for Kuroko to answer them, apparently having been in the area long before they arrived.

Impressions of the movie
I love this movie, it's incredible how this film can be so vaguely dark while
retaining its childish glamour and style to appeal to all parties. Even for
being one of the earlier Pixar films, it looks fantastic and the BluRay
compliments it further.
